Produced by – Frank Kelly
On June 21, 2009, 140 filmmakers in 140 different locations simultaneously shot 140 seconds of footage to demonstrate the connections between them and the places they call home. Inspired by the micro-blogging site Twitter.com (and its 140 character limit for its messages), 140 is an experimental documentary that brings together the talents of these 140 filmmakers in 30 countries on 5 continents. The range of filmmakers is diverse, ranging from students to seasoned industry professionals, from bare-bones indie filmmakers to successful Hollywood directors. The unique footage that tells their stories has been assembled into a feature length montage of poignant visual moments – the exact same moments captured all across our planet.

Since I have a strong background in media,.computers and film I will be teaching the first ever Twitter course at a local school division in Winnipeg. It will be a very interactive 3 hour course and will cover cutting edge topics related to Twitter. .I have several books on the topic too not seen yet in any bookstores I have visited. I am following Twitter very closely in the media; saw the founders on The View and will have video news clips of what TV has talked about.
I hope to Tweet live with many while were are online that day Oct 17th,2009 10am-1pm CDT in Winnipeg Manitoba Canada. I will be filming the Twitter course to capture all the reaction of what we come across in the Twitter world.
Hi Guys,
Hope you enjoy the screening. Wish I could be there, but alas, I can’t. If anyone has any comments, thoughts or questions about the project feel free to leave a comment here, I’ll check back and be happy to start a conversation.
Let me know what you think!
Best
Frank
