HATCH Labs

The HATCH Labs are year-round workshops created for up-and-coming artists to learn from the best in their field. The Labs are a mentorship program where both mentor and apprentice benefit from the exchange of creative

energies. All factions of film, writing, music, photography, painting, and more will be embraced. As a breeding ground for the next generation of artists, various courses and hands-on, project-driven classes will be conducted by professionals; momentarily stepping away from their busy careers to share their stories and insider secrets of their craft. Each HATCH Lab will be an incubator of synergies between unsalted and seasoned, fresh and refined, emerging and accomplished. The labs will cultivate students by instructing, guiding, advising, and demonstrating how one actualizes untapped abilities into tangible creative gestures, and more importantly into “the business of the arts. Such collaboration creates a change your life experience for an up-and-comer, as it has for all of us who have been fortunate enough to experience it.

The mission of HATCH Labs is to help bridge the gap between art and the business of art in the real world. Of course this doesn’t in any way imply the negation of 'art for art's sake' but rather the acceptance and celebration of art as a commercial vein in

the United States. In fact, art currently generates more gross national revenue than agriculture and construction combined, and entertainment is America’s #1 export. HATCH is gathering some of the most imaginative and stimulating young talents from around the world to invest in the future we see around us everyday of our lives. The end goal of HATCH Labs is the emergence of fluent and innovative sparks that can immediately ignite a fire in the arts as we know it. For art is really the language of emotion, and while each person may translate them differently, the arts beautifully and consistently strike at the core of who we are and who we become.
