Gibson Guitar New Musician Award

Every year HATCH Audiovisual Arts Festival and Gibson Guitar honor a young musician for their musical talents. The musician honored with this award plays at many of the musical venues throughout the festival, including the Award Ceremony, where they are awarded a New Gibson Acoustic Guitar.
HATCHfest 2004 winner, Brandy Vaughan, recorded her first album in her bedroom on an iMAC computer. Her efforts are not uncommon by today's standards, but her talents are unmatched. She is a true artist whose ability to play and write music without a team of industry professionals is an inspiration to all of us, and because of her efforts she was awarded a Gibson Songwriter Deluxe Guitar. This han dmade Gibson Square Shoulder is the new #1 choice Gibson Acoustic in 2005.
A message from Gibson Guitar:
Gibson is very proud and excited to support and promote the projects that are related to the fundamental essence of the HatcH philosophy, which can be expressed as:
- spreading the flame of creativity throughout our society,
- empowering newcomers through high quality mentorship, simultaneously inspiring and nurturing the world's mentors leading the way, and
- creating a symbiotic relationship between commerce and the creative artist—from the technical to the purely visionary.
This, in many ways, is why Gibson exists too—for the player, the arts, and entertainment business as a whole. We have done our rightful part when our efforts promote happiness and a higher quality of life, which is enhanced through the creative arts.
